This Blackfoot buffalo hide headdress has multi-colored quill work strip holding together patterned buffalo split horns that have blue peyote stitch beadwork and red horsehair at the tips. The forehead is covered with blue, yellow, red and green seed bead work and brass tacks. The yellow quill worked feathers have a jagged cut along the sides. A buffalo tail hangs from the back and 2 medicine bundles adorn the crown.
